*Satsuki is wandering about in the dead of night again. While she's able to move around during the day it's still easier for her to be around at night. It's much less exhausting this way

[ Stephanie's used to being up during the dead of night, albeit for different reasons altogether, and as has now become routine, she's wandering around the Garden in her Batgirl costume. Despite the fact that everything's been relatively calm since the blizzard, she's still convinced that something will go horribly wrong, and so feels that she has no choice but to patrol from dusk till dawn ]

[ she's also fairly familiar with the smell of blood. Unlike most sensible people, Batgirl heads towards the source of the stench - which happens to not be far from where she is. With a click, she flicks down her night-vision lenses and-and okay, whoever mentioned the lake of blood definitely wasn't kidding. When she spots someone knelt by the edge, despite every instinct running through her, she chooses to back away, because as long as people are drinking from the lake, it meant that they aren't feasting on the living ]

[ backing away works fantastically for Batgirl, until steps on a loose branch, causing it to snap loudly underfootEr. I... I

It's cool. My BFF is an alien, so I'm used to things being at least a little weird at all times.

An alien? I've never met one of those! Does your alien friend have a spaceship and everything?

Nope! There's no need. She just flies straight up into space, no machinery required.

That's so cool! Did she make it here too?

Nah. It's just me from back home. Looks like I'm stuck holding down the superhero fort.

That explains the outfit!

I don't really have a cool outfit but I'm trying to be a hero too. Maybe you could teach me some stuff about being a hero?

[ Whoa, whoa, whoa. Did someone seriously just accept my hero-status without belittling me first? Am I really going to get to take on a disciple? Sweet. ] Er. Yes. I could - er, you know, do that! I'm sure I'd make an awesome teacher. I have years of experience, and being a bat, I'm pretty much nocturnal. It's a perfect arrangement.

That sounds like it would work out great! I can walk around during the day but it's really tiring. I prefer being out at night...

Ah, this is okay with you, right? I wouldn't want to force anything on you.

Of course! Totally fine by me. Everyone here needs to be able to defend themselves and others, if possible, and I figure you've gotta be a little tougher than a regular person, right? And I've kinda been itching for a new training partner, anyway. Lemme tell you, running around the Garden without even an iPod for company is boring.

Alright! Um, I'll try to take it easy on you, though... That should help, right?

See... I'm really strong but I don't really know how to fight so I usually just end up throwing things.

Hey, there's no need to go easy on my behalf! I'm tougher than I look, and I'm used to fighting all kinds of superpowered people, techno-zombies, that kinda thing. I like a challenge every now and again.

And being strong is a good start! I'll teach you how to throw things with aim.

That's what I need! I'm a terrible aim. After all I only meant to-

*She was about to go into a time when she accidentally threw the dead body of a grown man into her love interest instead of in front of him. But Satsuki decides that even if her judgement was compromised at the time that still isn't something to bring up to others.*

... Ahaha, um, my aim was terrible as a human and it hasn't improved at all as a vampire.
