Hi, everyone! [ Subaru appears on the mirror, dressed in her silver-and-blue uniform, for she is out to make a good impression. ] I was thinking about what the Queen said about this time of year, and I decided that she's right. The holidays are no time to be alone, and especially not in the cold!
[ She steps back and gestures wide to the room around her: plain Japanese style tatami mats, with rolled-up futons laid out in rows as far as the eye can see (since she slid open the walls to connect all rooms together and make a show of it. ] Here at the onsen we have lots of room if you need a place to stay, even for just a little while.
[ She points off to the side, toward the exit. ] Outside we have the hot springs which is a great way to relax and stay warm.
[ Then Subaru puts both hands on her hips. ] And tomorrow I'll be cooking for everyone! [ Since she... doesn't have her family around to cook for, she should do at least this much. There is a brief flicker of something on her features. Disappointment, maybe? Sadness? It's hard to say because she stamps it down, mentally smacking her cheeks and telling herself that she can't show this side just yet. She doesn't want to pressure anyone, even though she just really hates being alone.
Trying to keep her brave facade up, she presses on. ] This time is... about togetherness, right? Even if we're all stuck here and miss our homes, our families, and our friends, we should show thanks for what we have right in front of us.
So! [ Suddenly, she claps her hands, which seems to snap her out of her daze. Subaru's smile is as bright as ever. ] Let me know if you'll be stopping by so I can have enough for everyone! Eheh, though I'll probably just end up making too much, that's better than not enough. [ She gives the mirror a thumbs-up, which is the signal for her broadcast to come to an end. Subaru really hopes some of her new friends will show up. ]
