[game 001.] video/action - "easy listening" effect

Nov 13, 2011 21:36

[The mirror reveals a young woman with messy hair, looking about to survey her new surroundings while a large gold necklace gleams against her front. She doesn't look too perturbed, at least not outwardly. In fact, she seems almost confident.

An easy smirk greets whoever might be watching.]Yo, ladies. Or whoever's out there ( Read more... )

Even if it's fleeting, I'm going to enjoy it for as much as I can.

That's the spirit! Why worry till something's happening, hmmm~? We can take care of ourselves just fine.

What's your name, girl? I like your attitude.

Long story. [Hint of an almost dangerous grin.]

Call me Bakura.

[Kuja approaches in person, rarely choosing to use the Vine unless she has an address to make to the populace.]

I wonder, is that what you really think? That this seems like paradise? It's interesting how some believe so, yet others see it as a prison.

[Kuja is under the effect of Easy Listening herself. So far, it isn't affecting her outward behavior too much, as she was already pretending to be nice, but inwardly she's calmer than usual.]

What type of help do you find yourself in need of?

[Oh? Quite the reaction from the Ring; that's unexpected. Bakura smirks a little harder and approaches, pendants on her necklace moving wildly before settling down.]

Can't say I disagree. Scrape the veneer of any Paradise, and there's a Hell lurking right beneath.

[Or so she claims with a smile on her face.]

Simple directions, nothing big. What to do, where to go....

Who are the best people to meet.

[Kuja smiles briefly.] Few things are what they seem, and even on its surface, the gilt of this cage soon flakes away of its own accord.

It hardly matters where you go here. There are structures to reside in, or you may make your own, quite easily. We are allowed to do as we wish, though violence is punished--but does that mean there will be things you'll wish to do? Perhaps, and perhaps not.

As for the best people, that may depend upon what general qualities you deem desirable in others. [Kuja herself isn't particularly social, but she keeps an eye on people, if not with a great deal of personal interest.]

[Violence is punished. Heh. She'd like to see anybody try. "Relaxed" apparently means "overconfident", for her.]

Well, then, I'll rephrase that. Who's most useful around here to know.

I make a point of - helping - important people.

[Keep your friends close and your victims closer. That's her.]

The music seems to be new Miss. Its odd, though I don't know if I would call this place paradise.

Ohh~? Mind sharing your thoughts?

[She feels as if there's something she should be concerned about. Ah, but if she can't put her finger on it, no use worrying.....everything's just fine.]

There is nothing to do here. Well, nothing to do that is more interesting than wasting time really. I guess there is exploring the area but its not consistent.

Ahh, so it's not paradise because it's boring!

[She laughs.]

Interesting definition. What's so inconsistent?

Your assumption that I enjoy being here is false.

As is yours that I was making an assumption!

But do tell, by all means. Help a newcomer out.

....Very well. My apologies then. I have more than enough work waiting for me at home, though I suppose it isn't too much trouble to put it off. I mostly object to being abducted. ....Though it could be worse now that I think about it.

[That stupid easy listening has gotten to Austria, too, and her usual huffiness isn't present at all.]

Right, right, it could always be worse! The powers controlling our unfortunate abduction could have chosen to dispense with the illusion entirely. We could be standing knee-deep in the souls of the damned.

[She almost sounds eager, as if that would have been preferable.]

But, ah well! Great we don't have to worry. Wouldn't want you unable to finish your work.
