[The video comes on just as Ren jumps back, her expression looking like she expects it to bite her. She just stares at it for a long, long moment before clearing her throat quietly]

So these things are communication devices like the cat said? Well. I can’t say it’s the strangest thing I’ve seen, but I am surprised our… [She cuts herself off ( Read more... )

[She starts, obviously caught by surprise, and shoves the outfit, feathers and all away from her]

Ah, yes.. I'm fine. That was just... not what I expected. Got caught up in a bit of sentimentality I suppose.

[She stands and walks over to the vine.]

Forgive me. I am new here. [She smiles] Might I hope you know a bit more about this place?

Quite alright.

Let's see. This place is called "the Gardens", and our dear captor, or so the one who presents herself as such, is known as the Queen of Hearts.

There seems to be living spaces, but they have a tendency to vanish.

I take it that you've had some rather tempermental 'hosts' before.

I'm sorry you have to go through this kind of shit again, for what it's worth. We're all trying to figure out what's going on and how to leave.

[There is great hesitation in her voice as she speaks quietly] My previous... hostess was far more than just temperamental. As were all her ilk that ever visited.

[A sigh]
But so far I suppose I shouldn't complain. Comparatively, this has been far less painful experience.
