[Over the long weeks since her arrival in the Gardens, following the storm and her release from Sephiroth's lab, Kadaj has been the observer. Not needing to eat, and having no desire for company (except for Sephiroth's, which she finds irresistible and infuriating), she's been acting the teenager she really isn't at all, keeping ostentatiously to ( Read more... )

[Ah! What is that? At the sight of the giant creature rising above the trees, Kuja is instantly intrigued and amazed. Such a beautiful beast! So large, so powerful.

Not that she needs such creatures anymore, having obtained the power to enter Trance, but it's impressive nonetheless. It dwarfs her Tropius--which isn't with her at the moment. She makes her way over without delay, smiling at the pale-haired woman, the little goddess. She remembers her for being interesting and inhuman.]

What is the name of this lovely creature?

[Unaccustomed to being taken even a little unawares, Kadaj looks up sharply. She remembers this one. A power in her universe, or so she'd said.

She's annoyed anew at her summon's lack of aggression.]

This useless creature is mine-- Bahamut SIN is its name. In my world, her nature reflects my own. But here it is changed.

Where is the creature who normally accompanies you? Is it changed too? This place makes abominations.

[Amazing. For once, Kuja's startled into silence. But it doesn't last long.] Bahamut, is it? And she is yours? [It doesn't look like the princess' Eidolon, but that name--curious. Her eyes shine.

She's too distracted to answer the question about Tropius right away.] I once had control over a creature named Bahamut. Are you a summoner?

[Kadaj's gaze sharpens, but she doesn't stir.]

I am not a "summoner", as you put it-- it's simply that Bahamut is mine. I call it forth at need. SIN is its nature, normally.

It has never had another master, so far as I know.

[She watches the scene with interest. That summoned creature is so odd. Not that she hasn't witnessed strange behavior from the summons here, but the very nature of that one is unusual.]

Kadaj.

[A woman of few words, our Sephiroth.]

[Kadaj stiffens almost imperceptibly, not so anyone save Sephiroth would notice. She glances at the Vine, which has come to linger nearby, but doesn't seem particularly interested in Sephiroth's appearance.

Though of course, she is.]

Have you ever seen such a pitiful sight, Sephiroth?

[She doesn't generally use summons herself. She doesn't believe she needs to. She's powerful enough without summoned creatures.]

I created a summon Materia here and utilized it. The creature so summoned did act oddly. I wouldn't say it's pitiful. We're discouraged from causing mass destruction.

[She's assuming that's what it's for.] What is its name?

What did you summon, Sephiroth?

[Kadaj rolls her eyes, still disaffected.]
It is pitiful because it seems it can't do as I want to encourage it to do.
Its name is Bahamut SIN. It is mine.

[action] Because the gardens totally need these two to meet crimson_sadism September 28 2011, 11:51:26 UTC
[It is rare that Rosso sleeps. She has little need to, especially with how little energy she has needed to expend. No fighting for her life, no massacres, none of that which is considered fun. And of course, this has left her bored. And yet, it hasn't stopped her from regular patrols. And it's on such a patrol she comes across the beast, towering over trees and catching her attention. Within moments, she has raced to its location, bladed machine gun in hand in case there is a fight to be had. And yet... None. But there is a girl on it... And that creature is so powerful-looking. The gun is folded and perched once more on her back mount. Arms are then crossed just below her chest, like they usually are when she is idle.]

My, my. How interesting. This... Creature is yours, yes?

[Kadaj has seen this one before, though not very often. Another fringe-dweller. Human. She turns her lifestream-green gaze on the woman, regarding her from her place on Bahamut SIN's chest.]

Yes, this miserable creature was summoned by me, belongs to me. This place-- it twists everything, even power.

So it would seem.

[But that isn't what interests Rosso. What interests her is what this girl must be capable of to summon such a beast, however off it is acting.]

You have a name?

[Kadaj's smile is narrow, showing the barest edge of teeth.]
I have a name, human.
It is Kadaj.

[ What the hell is that. What the hell is that? Fukiko looks quite horrified to see something so... unusual. The creature is so inhuman and yet, her usual curiosity tugs at her. ]

What... in the world is that?

{Kadaj barely spares the mirror a glance. Humans. Always so shocked at what they themselves are capable of unleashing on their own worlds. A summoned monster, especially this one, is nothing in comparison. Since she's playing the teenager, she gives a slight shrug.]

It is a monster. Bahamut SIN is it's name, and it does my bidding.
What do you do, human, besides ask obvious questions?

If it was an obvious question, then I would not have asked it.

[ It's clear she does not like being made a fool of, especially by one who does not know her. ]

I do plenty of things, but I highly doubt any of them will interest you.

[Smiling, Kadaj casts a lazy, contemptuous look at the Vine.]

Yes, I doubt that too, human.
But it's clear you hold yourself in high esteem, so I'm sure you don't really mind.

[Kadaj reclines regally against the chest of her summon.]
Whatever you are or whatever you do in your own world, it's nothing to me-- all of you here, your titles are meaningless. You're only another human woman after all-- there isn't a lot of variation among you.
