[A loud gasp escapes from her lips as her eyes flutter open―her heart slams against her chest as she glances up at the sky. It's bright, almost burning her eyes with how blue it is. She still feels the pain of the scythe slicing into her skin, her blood pouring on the floor, but... she is alive. Everything around here is alive[For a moment, she can only watch the twisted branches stretching into the sky. The fruit bare trees, a sickly sweet smell (apples? Or perhaps lemons?) seems to permeate the air. Overhead, the feather of a bird ruffle as it flies by. It is at this moment, Gabrielle realizes that her mind has stopped racing. [Her grip is firm―not too tight, just enough to signify assurance―as they begin down the path. The wind against the tree shuffles behind her as the aroma of fruit fills the air once more. The scene feels familiar to her, a nostalgic feeling pinpricking at her senses.]

Being lost is always distressing, especially when it starts getting dark. It's like all sense of direction is lost. Let's hope she's just nearby.

[Waiting, she adds solemnly in her mind.]

[Homura carries on alongside the woman contemplating that for a moment.] I'm sure she wouldn't have gone too far...

[But would she? What if she left? Not just this area...but the Gardens all together.

It's an uncertainty the girl carries in her heart, always just at the edge of her mind, the possibility that all their time here might be at an end. It's something she realizes, neither doubting nor rejecting as an inevitable truth.

But that doesn't mean it's happening right now, or that she won't come back. But it's still a worry nonetheless.

Homura stops in her tracks suddenly, her arm going taut as she falls behind.]

...What if she's not lost?

Maybe... no, she'll come back, won't she? Maybe it would be better just to wait longer...
