[Having changed back into her normal attire, Aigis appears on the vine. Her face looks perfectly human, but her body gives her true nature away. Her expression is one of both confusion and concern.]Greetings, I am Aigis. To anyone that receives this, I have some questions. I seem to have blacked out and I can't retrieve any memory of how I got here ( Read more... )

... I know, I shouldn't be able to be here. I can't explain it, either. But it really is me.

[ ANOTHER ROBOT???

Despite talking to Lambda just a day before, Lamia's once again dumbfounded and shocked to see another. As a result, she is just...staring. ]

Is... something wrong? Could it be that you are shocked that I am not human?

Perhaps it would have been wise to cover myself before using this communication device.

...I apologize. That was rude of me, but I'm not shocked for the reason you likely think I am.

It's alright. But what is the reason that you are shocked?

Oh, you needn't worry yourself over manual labour! Everything has been set up for our ease and comfort here. It's a rather agreeable prison, though prison it is. I do have the impression that Her Highness is not terribly discriminating in the subjects she chooses, however.

Oh, but I forget my manners. I am Vitalia Ruiz Asención. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Miss Aigis.

I am in a prison? If no labor is required, then what did the scroll mean about building?

It is... nice to meet you as well. Forgive me, as I am still rather confused about my situation.

Buildings, clothing, and other acoutrements may be formed utilizing a singular sort of soil with rather amazing properties- somehow, it appears to respond to one's thoughts, and to match whatever the mind's eye envisions in the material world.

It is a rather disconcerting one, I agree. Though this place is quite comfortable, I'm sure I should be happier were I allowed to return to Papi and be available to assist him.

We are expected... to build things with some sort of miraculous soil? What are we supposed to make?

...I... I do not know. There was someone... someone I wanted to protect... to always be beside. But she died... I do not know what is left for me back in Iwatodai... Though I would like to see my comrades again.

The building is more of an ideology than physical construction, I've found.

And I'm sorry you're here, Aigis. Although it's nice to meet you.

I see. So it is more that we should improve this place, rather than literally building? Is that what it means?

It is alright. I have many things about myself that need sorting out. Perhaps it is just as well to do them here. It is nice to meet you, too. Who are you?

We're supposed to be the society, I think. Whatever the Queen wants that to be. She's very dictatorial sometimes.

And, oh, sorry. I'm Canada.

Oh, I see. That would explain what the scroll meant by saying I was one of you now. A member of the society. Has the Queen stated why she desires this?

It is nice to meet you, Canada.

Hello, Aigis. My name is Epsilon. It's a pleasure to meet you, but I'm afraid you've been taken away from your own world.

The people the Queen brings here vary greatly, and we're meant to build social bonds, though some build structures, too. [It is nice to see someone who reminds her a little of home.] I am also a robot, though I was not constructed for combat. [She has combat capabilities, but she does not consider that her purpose.]

Nice to meet you, Epsilon. So... this is a completely different world?

I can bond with others, and enjoy doing so, even if I sometimes misunderstand humans. You... are also a machine, like me? This is amazing. I never thought I'd meet others like myself. I met another like us named Lamia just a little while ago. May I ask what purpose you were constructed for?

Yes, it is. The people here seem to come from many different worlds, as well as alternate versions of the same world.

[She nods, understanding very well.] I can form bonds, and I have emotions, but they were developed over time, and they are not the same as human feelings.

Where I come from, robots live and work among humans, and there are many of us. I was made to be as human as possible, to learn and make choices. Also to test the form of energy my father discovered: a new way of utilizing the power of the sun.

That... is quite amazing. [She pauses for a moment, still taking this in. Many different worlds... and there are alternate versions.]

Yes. My feelings... must also be different than those possessed by humans. Even though the more I learn of them, the more I wonder how, exactly, my feelings are different. It is a source of both confusion and contemplation for me...

Our worlds sound different. [But a world full of robots? Aigis wonders what life would have been like in a world like that.] Your purpose sounds both very noble and good, but also complicated. Was it difficult to walk that path?
