She's still angry about the other day, and she's loathed to be the first one to resume conversation. Her pride is a considerable obstacle in some ways, you see. Then again, the question prompts her to wonder if Jackie is all right, if she were injured, and then no matter how irritated she is with her, she's not going to keep her blocked away because she is one of a select group that she cares about.

It's a long time staring at the vine before she actually gets her mind around conversation, and she sounds utterly condescending when she does manage to say something. )

Her cat getting beaten up by some monster bitch, Ellie pressing all her buttons several times in succession, and for the grand finale Caprica had reappeared. Jackie's head is not in the best of order.]

It feels like she has limited emotional capacity; like being more friendly with one person has the consequence that she has less fondness to direct Jackie's way. Maybe hard to tell, considering how they usually speak to one another, but she definitely doesn't feel like she's joking around.

Maybe it's just Jackie getting the same treatment Emilia has been subjected to - the more she cares, the angrier she can get. Maybe she's just having a teenage tantrum, which seems to be one of the luxuries afforded by being here.

A long silence. Her being so angry isn't Jackie's fault, either, even if she wouldn't be thrilled with some of Jackie's recent reveals were she in a better emotional state. )
