[A woman stands in front of a mirror, one hand on her hip as she looks off into the distance. In the background, the sounds of things being destroyed can be heard. Rather than sounding alarmed, the woman sounds incredibly amused, punctuated by the half-grin she throws in the direction of the mirror]

Travel far enough into the fringes of open space, ( Read more... )

Droids? Is that what they are? [She can be seen occasionally looking away from the vine at the machines with a bit of awe.] Open space?

That's what they look like. We have them back in the Republic. [brow raise] That big open place above you, where all the planets and stars are.

It doesn't seem fair to shoot them, they seem like they're alive, maybe someone should explain it to them? [She has no idea how robots work okay.]

...Ehh, people can go into space in your world?

I'd hate to do it, but they look intent on their path. Maybe if I got close enough, I could see what's wrong with their programming... [she's mostly talking to herself at this point because hnnngh *3* robots]

They live in space. People, aliens, droids.

Tools? [Hawke gestures over her shoulder with a grin at the giant two handed sword strapped to her back] I have this?

A blaster, though? Sounds destructive. Blasty, even.

Impressive, but not what I need. I want to check their programming.

They generally are. [Her shoulders lift in a shrug] Generally don't use them, but I seem to have misplaced my lightsaber.

[ Roughly two thirds of this post just went completely over Clare's head, but. ]

What tools would you need?

A slicing chip. I could hack into their systems. Maybe a good old-fashioned screwdriver, if there are no chips.

I don't know what a slicing chip is, but you could make one. There's... "magical dirt" nearby. People use it to create things.

[Reeve looks harried, but far from defeated. In the background, a few of the smaller robots can be seen. They seem to be engaged in rudimentary attempts to clean up a mess they no doubt helped make.]

Hello, there! Well met and all that-- but the wrong turn you mentioned has taken you a lot further than you're thinking, I'm afraid. To make short work of it, this is the Garden, and you were brought here against your will. Not by any of us here! But by a woman calling herself the "Queen". We're all here under similar circumstances, subject to her whims. Her whim at the moment seems to be inflicting us with destructive but teachable robots.

Hope all that is helpful! You sound quite capable, but if I can be of any assistance, don't hesitate to give me shout on the vine.

I figured that I was not in my galaxy anymore, which is why I employed the use of sarcasm. It tends to go over the heads of many humans, so don't worry about not catching it. [She says this all in a calm and pleasant tone. After all, information is the key to knowledge, and knowing where she is is the first step in getting out]

A Queen, you say? [finally Revan looks a little more interested in the conversation, grinning] And who is to say that this is against my will? I've been looking for a new vacation spot, and this place already has its perks.

[She chuckles.]
Yes, well. You're not catching me at my best, I'm afraid! Odd morning. My sarcasm detector seems to have come out of it badly.

It's true, this place would make for a lovely vacation spot! There do seem to be "perks" for every taste. Though captivity takes the edge off of those somewhat.

I'm afraid I have no tools at hand that would be suitable for work on these robots. They lack any sort of circuitry or power source that I can see-- they seem to be completely mechanical! But they do seem teachable. If a blaster is what I'm guessing it is, that might not be the best idea, since it seems to encourage the others to attack.

Don't worry about it, as I said. I won't hold it against you.

Only if you focus on the captivity part of it. [Sometimes you just gotta let things roll right off your shoulders. Through indifference, things become clearer]

Mechanical items are my specialty. If they're able to be taught, then their programming has gone off the handle. Normally that wouldn't be a problem, but... Well, I'm sure your eyes work pretty well.

Sometimes an attack is the best way to get things done.
