[So, while the rest of you are off investigating that new area or whatever else, Grace has decided to look for the "cave of blood" Alice mentioned. It's not hard to find, now that the cats are back around and willing to lead her to places that aren't a dance floor. She raises an eyebrow at the sign marking its entrance-she'll have to be careful

[No humans, maybe, but Larxene is far from human and far from scared of any creepy blood caves. No, she's just wandering around, exploring, maybe finding a nice place to bury any bodies she has to, aha~, but oh, what's this? She's not alone?

She waits a moment just to see what this girl is up to, and seeing her gulping up blood from the pool, well, what's she supposed to think about that? And what's she supposed to do? But she can't just let this opportunity slip her by, oh no. Instead, she takes a few steps out, like she was just wandering in, and oh!] Hello? Is someone there?

[Grace goes rigid for a moment as the voice intrudes on her midnight snack. Then, abruptly, she turns, eyes wide with genuine shock. She leaps to her feet, taking a step away from the pool even as she realizes there's no hiding what she had been doing. Blood glistens on her lips and chin and fingers.]

[She weighs her options quickly. She can act innocent, or she can get rid of the witness. They both have their merits, but in the end, she decides on the non-violent solution-for the moment, at least. After all, with a witch wandering around the Gardens, who knew what other kinds of freaks there might be? She may be arrogant at times, but she isn't stupid. Adopting her usual stutter and meek persona, she calls back:]

Y-you startled me!

[Act meek all you want, little girl, but Larxene can see the blood on your face and hands. She knows what you were doing, and from it she can guess what you are. Not human, at least. A monster, more accurately. So she's not going to buy that stutter one bit.

Instead she carefully walks closer, like she's trying to inspect what is going on. Like she doesn't already know. But she stays at a wary distance, not going to get too close to this blood-drinking girl until she knows what she is, and what she's capable of. Larxene isn't stupid, either.]

I...I was surprised, too. What are you doing out there? Is that - what's on your face?

[For a moment, Grace considers simply turning and bolting. She's faster than a human, so, assuming that's what this woman is, she should have no problem outrunning her. But, no, that would make her look guilty-best to stand her ground and act like this is the most natural thing in the world. She was just eating, after all. It isn't her fault she can't eat the same food as humans.]

Wh-what about you? It's-it's awfully late.

[And then the woman draws attention to the blood on her face. Automatically, Grace licks her lips. Somewhere in the back of her mind, she's annoyed about her meal having been interrupted, but that takes a backseat to dealing with this little crisis.]

It's, it's food. I have to eat.

[Guess who doesn't sleep much and has been watching that cave ever since a vampire showed up and she mentioned it?

This youkai.

So she's just going to slowly float up behind the girl.]

[Normally, Grace would be a little more aware of her surroundings, but this is the first time she's eaten since arriving at the Gardens. As such, she's absorbed in lapping up blood from her fingers, dipping her hand back into the lake once she has licked it clean. And it's not like floating around makes much noise, either, so she's altogether unaware of Alice's approach.]

[Alice just watches, until she speaks up.]

Still going to tell me you don't know about vampires?

[Grace jolts at the sound of the voice, leaping to her feet and barely remembering her current position in time to avoid stepping backward into the pool behind her. Her eyes go wide in a kind of deer in the headlights look, her mouth working uselessly for a few seconds. Then, she manages to blurt out:]

Al-Alice! Wh-what are you doing here?
