[There was one brief moment where Fate (more or less) knew exactly what was going on: something (or maybe it was everything) was tearing apart inside of her. [Oh god. Fate can't imagine how upset Vivio must be, so she's trying to control her voice but it's still shaking like crazy.] Vivio, are you okay?

[She's really not, but she has to keep it together for her daughter's sake, right? She just has to keep telling herself that.]

The clearing. Where everyone first wakes up...

[Should Signum choose to head over there, she'll find Fate back in the position mentioned above.]

[Signum makes her way over there at positively Fate-like speeds!]

[On arrival, she alights and walks carefully over to her friend, kneeling down next to her.]

[Normally, Fate would be surprised at Signum using her first name... but she barely reacts at all. In fact, she doesn't even lift her head when she speaks.]

Signum, I... I...

[She's still in a bit of shock, so she's not sure what to say right now.]

... FATE!

[ Okay, she's not as emotional as in the icon, but Vita is very relieved to hear Fate's voice. Fate might be able to hear Vita sniffling once or twice before she gets her emotions under control. She doesn't know how a dead person came back, but that doesn't matter. ]

Where are you?! I'm coming!

[Hearing Vita trying not to cry actually helps Fate a little; she's gotta be strong for her friends, right?]

I just woke up in a clearing... the one we woke up in when we first got here.

Stay where you are. I'm on my way.

[ Which she is. By the time Vita arrives, her eyes are swollen and puffy--- not from crying, she'd like you to know-- but she's not letting her sadness show. Just a bit of relief. ]

[If this situation had been a little less serious, Fate might have laughed; it really is kind of cute how hard Vita tries to cover up her worry.

But it did cheer her up a little. Just enough to crack a smile.] Hey, Vita...

... I suppose not. [After all, she could consider the other woman a friend, right? That's what she really needs right now.]

[She sets up her Knight Armor without saying another word and bolts off as quickly as she can through the air to where Fate is.]

[Fate is on her feet, and as soon as Hayate touches down, she runs over and pulls the other woman into an incredibly tight hug. She's shaking, but she's probably not going to cry again.]
