[ She's... hesitating. Birdie is not much of a fighter, but there is, deep within, a need to protect life. And all around her, there are so many lives, so many women and girls needing protecting. Sure, the little phoenix is still learning how to be selfless and giving, but she has some basic concept. She thinks Paddy would be proud, too. ]

That's good. Long as I don't make a fool out of myself.

I've finally got my hands on some dirt, but I'm still trying to figure out what to make. It's a harder decision than I thought.

I understand what you mean. Because the actual building part of the process is so simple, I keep second-guessing myself on the actual design of the training arena I need to make.

So just what is a Keyblade?

Honestly, it's a lot what it sounds like. It's a giant key that can be wielded like a blade. What makes it powerful, though, is that it chooses its wielder, and becomes bound to them. There are other things that make it special, too; it can be used to channel magic through, and to lock the hearts of worlds.

How fantastical. A weapon that chooses it's owner is usually one of great power.

Mm, that's right. It's... complicated. Worlds, like people, all have a heart, and they can be locked to protect or change them.

A Keyblade? ( There's a quiet moment as she tries to picture it. ) I'm not very good with weapons though, well at least nothing beyond my boomerang.

But, uh, I'm better in magic actually... and more training would always be useful.

[ after being asked about it a few times already, she's quickly realised that it's easier to show than tell. Calling up the mirror, she gives a quick wave, before holding out her hand. In a flash of light, the Keyblade appears in her outstretched hand ] This is a Keyblade. It's a little more complex than a boomerang, but not quite as easy to throw around.

I'm actually better at magic, too. I'd be happy to train with you.

( Hope gives a small smile and nod at the wave, though as the weapon appears her expression changes to one of surprise. ) I can see, I don't think I've ever seen a weapon quite like that.

( Which is saying a lot, considering Light and Vanille use some pretty odd weapons compared to most. ) A-ah, thank you. What kind of magic can you use?

You're welcome! And I mostly use spells like Fire, Water, Blizzard, Cure; that sort of thing. What about you?

That is correct. I'm also more than capable at hand-to-hand combat and swordsmanship. I'm more concerned about getting rusty than anything else.

Although I am very interested to see what you can do as well.

I can do much the same. I know a lot of other types of magic too, though: Water, Aero, Thunder, Blizzard. That sort of thing.
