Actually, I suppose being a Keyblade Wielder is sort of like being a knight, only for all worlds. Not just one kingdom. Part of my duty involves ensuring that the Princesses are kept safe.

So you have experience with interdimensional travel? That's... interesting.

My world used to be a pretty nice place - information age technology, democracies pretty much muscling out the lone nutjobs with armies - before an interdimensional attack conquered us, slipped into the world through our dreams. I was part of a resistance group.

That's right. Travelling between the worlds and keeping balance is my job.

But that sort of attack... it's awful. Could you tell me what your enemy looked like? How they operated? They might be the same foes I was facing on my journey.

I'm... I'm sorry. They aren't the Heartless but they always struck me as similar

...they're mostly psychic constructs, taking shape in our world as living shadows or baroque metal monsters and attacking with claws, raw fire, ice, toxic gas... they have many forms, but they seem to lock somewhat in physical reality. And they eat positive emotions.

haha, aqua's from pre-heartless, but those do sound familiar

I... I want to say they're the same, but the creatures I know - the Unversed - they feed on negative emotions. Hate, anger, fear. That's all they need to fuel them.

Maybe they're just another kind of Unversed. The ones I came across were constantly changing. I don't know how far those transformations can go.
