A traveller of worlds, then? I haven't met any princesses here, but I'm sure there may be some among our number. But as for the Queen's Princess, I couldn't say.

Anything in particular you'd like to know?

Something like that, yes. I suppose you could say it's my - duty, to ensure that the worlds all remain safe. It's just that... [ pauses, looking a little hesitant ] Whenever I've encountered a Queen in the past, her Princess has always been in danger. Not that I'm suggesting the Queen has done anything to her, of course. It's just an observation.

As for the particulars, well... does it have a name? And do all the inhabitants look like you?

Then an admirable duty it is. A difficult one for a single person to accomplish, however. Do you belong to an Order of some sort?

[she hums a little thoughtfully.] You make a good point. Unfortunately I've only been here for a short while, so someone else would probably be better at providing that information.

It has a name, though each nation seems to disagree on what it is. To my people it was merely "the world". They had no real concept of anything lying beyond it. [the way she's speaking, she doesn't seem to count herself among them.]

There are three nations of humans such as myself, a people known as "dragons" far to the north, and various other races with no interest in establishing borders.

It is something like an Order - on my home world, apprentices were trained to earn their Mark of Mastery, which entitled them to a Keyblade's full use. [ she holds up her own Keyblade, well aware that it's an unusual weapon to most ]

I can't say that I've ever heard of a world exactly like that, which isn't surprising, considering how many there really are. It's a little strange that everyone here appears to be of the same race, don't you think?

[ The armour and the weapon scare the phoenix, a little bit. She tilts her head slightly and then shakes her head, more to herself than to the mirror. ]

Why do you wear that, all the metal?

It's to protect myself while travelling, but right now, it's only for show. I thought it would be better to have some sort of formal attire on, but... [ she catches the girl's uneasiness, and smiles ] I can remove it, if you'd rather.

[ She perks up and even tiptoes a little in excitement, then nods eagerly, stripped of any shame or politeness - sometimes, knights found it rather impolite for people to tell them to strip their armour off, but Birdie, well... She always had found metal rather crude and armours usually signified war. She didn't like violence. ]

[ Aqua obliges, patting the side of her arm, and with a glimmer of light and the scrape of sliding metal, the whole suit impossibly folds down into three scales on the fabric of her sleeve ]

I'm not a Knight. Not officially, anyway.

I'm afraid I haven't. Is that the name of your home?

It's the planet it's on; you'll find many of us come from some iteration of Earth.

The land I come from is named Gensokyo. It's a haven for the supernatural.

Supernatural? Then you are... ?

[Tifa nods in return, but the slight crinkling around her eyes lets it be known that she's amused.] My name is Tifa. It's nice to meet you, Aqua.

My world...? [She glances off and away, and takes a moment to think about that.] It's the Planet. Gaia. Two years ago, it was dying. [She looks troubled, briefly, but her face softens at the memory a little while later.] But it's healing...slowly, but surely. We've been working on rebuilding it. I live in Edge, a town some miles away from where our biggest city, Midgar, used to be.

It's nice to meet you too, Tifa. [ she nods again, far more comfortable doing so this time ] I'm glad to hear that about your world - that it's getting better, no matter how long it may take. I hope I can say the same thing of my own world, one day.
