I have watched the trailer an embarrassing number of times already. It was bad enough when it was just the US version but then the other one showed up on my tumblr dash and HANDS and I actually screamed. I had to cover my mouth so I would stop making noise because the last thing I need is to wake ppl up and have them rush into my room all "oh no what's wrong?!" and me having to explain that it's just Star Trek.
I WISH WE KNEW WHO BUMBERBATCH IS GOING TO BE THOUGH. I HAVE MADE PEACE WITH HIM BEING MITCHELL BUT THE HANDS MAKE ME THINK HE MIGHT BE KHAN AND THAT IS JUST UNACCEPTABLE.
I KNOW, THE FUCKING HANDS! I've only watched sporadic episodes/movies of old ST, but even I know how traumatic that scene was! EVEN IF IT'S ONLY A RED HERRING, I AM REALLY NOT GOING TO BE OKAY
At least word on the tumblr is leaning more toward Mitchell? (Who I know nothing about, just that anything's better than khan). Apparently Karl Urban might've accidentally blabbed? *FINGERS CROSSED*
If the hands scene really happens in the movie like it did in Wrath of Khan I am going to cry like a baby. I am so not prepared for this.
Ok so the thing about B-snatch possibly being Mitchell is that there was a comic series that the movie writers did that are "cannon tie-ins" that cover some of the stuff that happened between the first movie and this new one and Mitchell already showed up and "died" like he did in TOS but it could still be him they would just have to have some kind of flashbacks in the movie to cover what's already happened? And Karl did say the villain is Mitchell but the writers said he's just trolling us, so who knows? BUT IT HAD BETTER NOT BE KHAN BECAUSE A) HIM SHOWING UP IN THIS TIMELINE LIKE THIS MAKES NO SENSE AND B) IF THEY HAVE A PASTY WHITE BRITISH DUDE PLAY KHAN THERE WILL BE A RECKONING I S2G.
He does have a looooooovely voice. It just felt SO CLOSE to the evil overlord speech from Iron Man 3 trailers that I had to do a little bit of eyerolling ;DD
LOLOL very true! I typed "star trek" into google maps because I needed a random location, and there it was in all its glory. I think you should drive there immediately to check it out because you live closer than I do ;PP
