Lol, well, it'll be a different story, at least? And hopefully they'll make Peter Jackson stick to something resembling normal movie length, at least until he can release the extended dvds. ;D
I don't really what I should think about it. I am a little bit afraid that they are just doing it for the money... I mean it's three times making money instead of just ones. :/ So yeah, I hope there's a good reason to make it three movies.
I would worry about that...except it's Peter Jackson. If anything, he's doing it because he's such a massive fanboy, and he wants to camp out longer with the story (and it is his call, doing three movies, the production people are backing his play (probably for the money))
In the meantime, i think i'm going to settle on timidly excited? :D
As someone who enjoyed the hobbit as a book much more than I did the Lord of the Rings, I feel like this is less on the scale of LotR and more of a tight focus into the book. There's a lot more plot rammed into the Hobbit than there is in LotR.
Otoh, that's 24 hours of extended DVDs. Which is almost too much to marathon.
I've never actually read any of the books? Though I know the stories (really bad movies, in the case of the hobbit). I got to page 70 in Fellowship and gave up bc they were still in the shire. BUT EVERYONE SEEMS TO LOVE THE HOBBIT BOOK, SO I HAVE HIGH HOPES :D
Omg, that is, yeah, you would need a lot of caffeine and the agreement to take naps through bits you aren't interested in o.O
The Hobbit is one of my favorite books, and I was pleased they weren't going to cram into one movie...and actually I'm ok with there being three. it's Peter Jackson, he has REASONS. and the dvds I will own :P
but but, when will they do the cuts??????? I'd bet on the spider things being the end of the first one but now???? Please don't make the Battle of the Five Armies into one single movie PJ.
Also, YOU ASSHOLE - THIS MEANS I WILL HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER TWO AND A HALF YEARS FOR THE LAST PART OF THE HOBBIT!!!?!?!?! *kicks whoever suggested it/made the decision* It better not be in 3D >.>
LOL It looks like Peter Jackson was the one who decided, and the producers are just backing his play? BUT THINK OF IT LIKE THIS, WE GET HOURS AND HOURS OF SCREEN TIME AND EXTRAS WITH FANFUCKINGTASTIC ACTORS AND ACTRESSES? :DD
