LOL I never (okay rarely) say no to a new fandom, but I just. I don't think I can care about sports that much. BUT I WILL GLADLY READ IT, so any fandom classics, feel free to throw 'em my way :DD

Heh - ah, the jump from Kane/Toews to Sidney Crosby... been there, done that. :-) Next thing you know, you'll be reading some Jeff Skinner/Eric Staal... But Kaner/Tazer will always be the OTP.

I HAVE NO REAL IDEA WHAT THESE PEOPLE EVEN LOOK LIKE. I read y first Kaner/Tazer fic completely blind, googled them, and was jaw-droppingly stunned at how freaking young they are--I'd guessed thirties at least! I mean, THEY'RE MY AGE. I'm not sure how anyone can be as good at something as they seem to be about hockey. (but not feelings, woooo)

Hahaha - that's my exact fascination with them! I can't believe that they were 21, 22 when they won the cup... Hockey players are the athletes that fascinate me most of all, actually (well, and polo players, kind of for the same reason) - skating is a sport in and of itself, and to play a game on top of that, that just amazes me. And then being babies on top of it!

And as far as getting more familiar with what they look like, well, I certainly haven't been watching the videos from today's first day of the Blackhawks convention, no sirree... :-)

I live an hour away from the shooting; one of my best friends happened to go to a different theatre by complete chance because there were tickets there. They tried to go to the Aurora Century, and couldn't.

Oh hon. *hugs you tight* Yeah the world is scary, but look at the good things too! Your friend is okay, and droughts don't last forever. There really are plenty of wonderful things that happen in the world that don't make the news because fear sells. Here, have you looked at some service puppy live cam recently? These little dudes are a perfect example of people making the best out of a bad situation.
