Recent nostalgia and the fact that the family band and I are performing tonight at the folk fest (and I need to take my mind off the surety that we're going to sing 500 Miles by the pogues in front of god knows how many people) have prompted me to do a WALES SPAM.

WAAAALES SPAM )

picspam, love is all you need, do i really need a real life tag?, scotland-a-go-go

Wait, 500 Miles as in the song by The Proclaimers, or 500 miles the Hedy West song? Which one did The Pogues do? In any case, GOOD LUCK.

In other news, I FORGOT ABOUT SOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES. NOW I WANT THAT AU LIKE BURNING.

The coastal town of...alsfkjl.

Hahaha, Aberystwyth is like only a 4 on the Welsh scale of impossible spellings, I love how that's the one you keyboard smash over.

PROCLAIMERS, I fail, it started with a 'P.'

SOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES--The story of John Watson, accidental-roadie to the musical genius of Sherlock Holmes, critic/producer/songwriter for Lestrade and the Baker Street Babes. ...or something. IDK, I JUST KNOW I WOULD READ THE HELL OUT OF IT.

See, I just forgot what the hell it was called entirely. My keysmash is remarkably close.

I was thinking like, a full scale club AU where Sherlock is a really temperamental and mathematical DJ and John is like a plainclothes bouncer (is this even a thing that exists?). Sherlock would take his 15 minute breaks and tip off Watson to the troublemakers, deducing the shit out of them for shits and giggles and tips in the form of increasingly complicated and ridiculous cocktails (ordered just to piss off Anderson, the surly bartender). Together, they fight drinks menu price hikes (also, crime).

I would have detoured on a different trip JUST to go to Llanuwchllyn and sit on the bench where Colin and Bradley sat...but there is nothing. there. More than that, it would have cost $160 in train tickets which I did not have. :(((

I love your pictures bb! The bay was my favorite--when we were there, down on the docks a whole bunch of fans had done up a memorial wall for Ianto Jones, which about broke my heart. But it's such a neat country! GO WALES!

...

WALL IS A REAL TOWN IN WALES?

*faints*

I LIKE HOW ALL MY MEMORIES OF WALES ARE 'RAIN, GREY, MIST, MORE RAIN, MORE FOG, CRAZY PEOPLE BATHING WHEN THE WATER IS 2 DEGREES, RAIN' AND HOW YOU HAS SUNNY WEATHER. CLEARLY THIS IS A FAILURE ON MY PART AND I SHALL HAVE TO VISIT AGAIN

*hugs*

CLEARLY I NEED TO GO AGAIN. AND FANGIRL ALL OVER WALL. AND THE BOOKSTORE PLACE, JFC, WHY DIDN'T ANYONE THINK TO TAKE ME THERE?!?!??!

Oh man, these are all gorgeous. I particularly like the sheep one, it reminds me of Fenton, death sheep from hell. I hope the folk fest goes/went well! Your life is kinda awesome :)

That sheep one is in my top five favorite pics I took while I was abroad--we were leaving our sort of hostel/dorm/whatever thing, and flightjacket and another girl were walking ahead of me and didn't notice that sheep sort of standing fairly close to the road (which was through the sheep field, no fences). And I'm, like, I have delusions about baby sheep okay, so I'm thinking if I'm very, very careful I might be able to get close enough to this sheep to pet it, right? So I'm creeping up on the sheep, being very nonthreatening and friendly, and THE SHEEP STARTS CREEPING CLOSER TO ME! And I'm basically lakfdlkdfas I NEED A PICTURE, how do I take a picture without freaking out the sheep, so I carefully wedge it out of my purse and make a best guess as to the pic because I can't lift it to my face to see the screen--hence the, er, artsy angle.

And then some guy behind me came rattling up the road with his luggage, and the sheep ran off. The end.

(The folk fest went really well! It really, really is. ;D)

That is the best ninja picture of a sheep story. 8D
