So we're reading the Lais in Medieval Lit, and I always perk up when King Arthur gets mentioned. This is the gist of one of the lais, pretty much Arthurian legend fanfic of the middle ages. I just really really hope it doesn't turn into an episode of Merlin.

*sigh* I think Arthur was kind of a douche, but I think the medieval types totally thought he was the most awesome of all awesome things, just from the attitude they have towards Guinevere--it's not ARTHUR's fault Camelot came crumbling down, or even Lancelot's, it's Guinevere's fault for being such a hobag. *eyeroll*

Yeah, Arthur is one of those douchebags that everyone thinks is like the best dude they ever met.

I printed this out for The BFF to read, cuz she appreciates a good Arthurian legend and good humor, and she loved it. Then later we were watching some show together and the chick was laying in her room listening to emo music over a boy and I said, "Hey, she's tottaly in her room listening to Evanescence," and The BFF was all, "and cutting herself," and then we laughed and my sister just stared at us blankly. 8)
