if i had an orchard / i'd work til i'm raw

The writing club and I are working our way through season four of SPN, which is...kind of depressing, actually, because even as we're watching the funny episodes I know how it's all going to go. BUT! Last night we watched Wishful Thinking, the episode with the magic wishing well, and it struck a chord with what's going down currently:

dialogue from Wishful Thinking )

sam: college educated--still rly stupid, the epic love story of sam&dean, dean: walking advertisement for therapy, supernatural, writing: i does it

LOL That part especially in the song--I swear to god it's from a folk song, but I haven't done any research to find out which. I want to go, "If I had an orchard / I'd work til I'm raw / and I never would be a wild rover no more and it's NO! NAY! NEVER!" etc. but I know that's wrong.

I always love your fanmixes, but your Arthur one? Daaaaaaaamn. Five stars all around <33

I feel like Dean as had a THIS IS WHY WE (AND BY WE I MEAN MYSELF, DEAN WINCHESTER) CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS mentality since he was seven in the flashbacks of the striga episode in season 1.

At least one of them ships wincest without even really KNOWING that she ships it. She called them soulmates BEFORE THE SHOW DID.

Should be up today, but I have a paper I need to write which means it might take a while--like late tonight? Fingers crossed!

They can't have nice things has been a theme since the pilot - when Sam tried for college and friends and a girl and instead got fires and demons and a life back on the road. He was still holding onto the hope then that he could have nice things. But alas, he is a Winchester.

Now you've made me sad.

I had been thinking recently about how them killing Cas is part of this whole "Can't we ever have nice things?" mentality on the show and how Bobby is the last thread of that and then got myself all "Omg, then they must be going to kill Bobby!" and then they burned down his house and I was all, "Oh well, they had a place to go for comfort, of course it burned down."

They'll always have The Impala. /knock on virtual wood/

Also, On Thursdays, we're teddy bear doctors.

Oh bb *cuddles* Don't be sad. No matter how bad things get, the boys will always have each other. ...Now. Now that the divorce is over and done with and they're back on the road being brothers hunting evil and saving people. *nod*

They won't kill Bobby, bb, don't worry. He's too useful to the writers who use him to plug up plot holes. :DD
