Sam trying so hard NOT to change the 'Dream a Little Dream of Me' timeline, so that Dean could see whatever he needed to see to decide not to go to Hell. Damn. Yeah. And Dean seeing Sam baking him a pie instead, looking safe, comfortable, and provided for. *hums happily*
He says it like he can’t actually believe it himself, but he taps the counter with the newspaper and yeah, there is a pie there, all golden crust and steaming.
Dean refuses to feel bad about whatever this is-it’s his subconscious, Sam bought a ticket to this roller coaster, and if Dean’s subconscious wants Sam to make him pie, then. Yippee.
“You’re telling me you were inside my head and didn’t see yourself anywhere?” That just doesn’t seem possible. Sam is in everything Dean does. Dean had come out of this experience surprised that he hadn’t seen more Sams.
Oh wow! I actually gasped out loud when it was Sam rather than Lisa in the dream. This entire fic is ENTHRALLING. I feel like I'm the one plummeting down the rollercoaster hill. and I never want the ride to end. *rushes on to the final part*
