Yeah, I saw that video and watching him tell that story changed some of my rather negative opinions of him. Firstly, the content, but secondly, and maybe more interestingly, the way he told it. He's very human. Touchingly so. I don't know if that's just a show he's putting on at a fan con, or not. Older, more apocryphal stories, tell of aggressive, roid driven anger and missplaced entitlement. I was glad to have that image changed.

You know, I'm sure she's actually a pretty cool person. I've had her in the store. Him too, as it happens. And they're both pretty cool.

That picture? I want someone to love me like that. IN REAL LIFE.

I have had much of the above feelings - for much of the same reasons. I think i really started liking her - as in her with him - when i kept seeing all these adorable pics where she's just looking t him like he's the best thing since ice cream - it's so damn adorable, hearts-in -the-eyes love and it's hard not to like it and like her for loving him like that. :)

It really really is hard not to like them together--the reason it took me so long to come around was because I had this 'NO I WILL NOT LOOK' reaction to a lot of pictures with her in them, because Denial is not just a river in Egypt and I felt like being petty. Just needed to recalibrate my slash goggles. :D

I don't know why I had less of a problem with Danneel, but I think it's Ten Inch Hero's fault. BOAZ/PLATISHA 4 EVAH. Well until Dean Forester moves from Star's Hollow to Santa Cruz. Then it's threesomes all over the damn place.

That's an incredibly sweet and beautiful photo. I hadn't heard the entire train story because I suspected it was going to trigger my embarrassment squick (and it kinda did).

I've always had mixed feelings about Genevieve. I mean she does have sort of a dampening effect on my J2 tinhattery. On the other hand, I went out and wrote Jared/Jensen/Genevieve/Danneel foursome fic almost immediately after Jensen and Danneel got married. On the other hand, she's a truly abysmal actress.

I guess what it comes down to is that I can never see Jared as other than a really sweet, genuine, caring person and he obviously loves her a whole lot. She must have something going for her (other than being really pretty extraordinarily hot and tiny and brunette, which seems to be his type). If she makes him happy, then she's okay in my book.

When I'm reading/writing J2, I absolutely subscribe to the 'Genevieve? What Genevieve? Ditto Danneel' frame of mind. Because it's all fiction, and as hard as I ship any of my OTPs I know they're never going to happen in real life. Sam and Dean are never going to make out and have sex in the Impala on the show, but that's what fic is for! These goggles are fused on, man, ain't nothing gonna pry them loose. ;D
