It was going to be about Sam and Dean having adventures in Scotland BECAUSE THEY ACTUALLY WENT THERE MID SEASON SIX but then it turned out Sam had no soul so the whole fic got Kripke'd. But here's an excerpt

It was....a sort of half-assed idea for a Cop Show set in Alaska. Starring Tom Hardy and JGL. Basically. *facepalm* There isn't even really enough to do an excerpt. But I'm pretty sure episode 4 would have been about a rabid carnivorous moose! ;DD

What's going on with the Baby Makes Three under SPN?

Do you remember the epi with the shapeshifter baby? It was about that I guess. I can't even really remember where I was going with it, and I think I stole bits and chunks of it for Since Feeling Is First, and I meant to come back and fiddle with it...but it turned out Sam was missing a soul at the time. Anyhoo where's an excerpt:

He can’t stay in the car with it, those happy burbles eating at his skin like acid. Sam shouldn’t be alone with something so little and fragile, he knows this, why didn’t he drop it with social services or call 911 and make sure the cops picked it up? Why did his broken, fuse-blistered brain think baby family Dean Dean Dean?

Sam would have been this little when Dean carried him out of their burning house, that’s a good reason. Keeping a baby near Sam Winchester is about as smart as putting it in a car with a werewolf.

When Dean pulls up, Sam’s first thought is Thank God. But it’s not for the reasons Dean thinks.

The excerpt you left sounds pretty good. The way you have Sam feeling sounds kind of souless, but the author does have leway to work characters how they want them. I hope you do finish this story eventually.
