Seriously, I love how you articulated all the reasons that Danny and Rachel would be A Bad Idea, and put it as a frame to hang all of Steve's complicated feelings and issues etc. This is why Steve's my favorite - and why you are, too.

Ohhhh. I have been reading schmoop for days and there's never enough angst and hurtiness and anticipatory agony in those damn things. Don't get me wrong, there are times when all I want is fluff and light and rainbow tattoos? But nothing -- NOTHING -- beats a good, gut-wrenching h/c.
