Jeyne put the letters out of her mind--not forgotten, just put aside for a little while--until she had Reynald fed and soothed to sleep for his afternoon nap. It didn't take long for him to go to sleep, since he'd had such adventures that morning, but she lingered in the rocking chair for a while, not wanting to put him down.
She well knew, though, that the thing would weigh on her mind until she dealt with it, so after holding her sleeping son for a time she carefully put him into his cradle. Jeyne couldn't help but stand there for a moment and look at his sleeping face, so peaceful and sweet.
