Uggggh, so tired. UUUUGGGHHHHHH.
It was my fiance's birthday yesterday (he turned 28, WE'RE GETTING OLD) and what started out with 'Oh, we'll just got out to dinner' turned into 'ooh, lets go get some quiet cocktails at our favourite bar!' and ended up 'OK FINE, lets go to a strip club!' Which it ALWAYS DOES and shouldn't have surprised me.
(
Very long tl;dr in which Beck talks about being a stripper and why she thinks it's ok to go to strip clubs. You're advised to skip. )

Towards the end, you're right, I was pretty over it, but mostly it was fine. It certainly wasn't a horrible experience.
And A, I love that you've been around that long. We don't talk all that much, but whenever I see your name here in LJ land, it makes me smile big &hearts &hearts &hearts

...unless maybe it was kinky Marines giving the massage. Hmm. This needs further thought.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for hosting the kink meme! I'm so glad you put in the time. I remember like, ohh a week ago, when I was just a shy little lurker/sometimes-commenter. Now I've written two fics, and my brain is brimming with more. You (and all the other GK kids) are effing inspiring.
Also "Guuuuh, lady no clothes on? Herp derpy derrrrp" Baaahahahah!
I've been to some strip clubs where the atmosphere was pretty awkward - just a couple creepy dudes hanging out way in the back row - but then I've been to others with a totally fun vibe. Probably the hottest stripper I've seen wasn't a head-liner and wasn't the most text-book-gorgeous (definitely pretty though) but she was obviously having a blast, and that made all the difference.
Ok bed now. Thanks again *hug*

Thank you all for playing. I really thought I was just putting it on for my friends who maybe wanted to get some inspiration, I had NO IDEA that it was gonna turn into this massive thing. I am STOKED. And I'm so glad that it's brought you out of the fandom closet, so to speak. Anything that inspires more awesomeness by awesome people is fine by me :D Hope you stick around, bb (and I hope you write more fic!)
And yes, I've been to strip clubs that were weird and awkward and they sucked. We're pretty lucky in Melbourne, we've got some cool places. And you're right, the strippers who have the most confidence in themselves, the ones who are abviously having fun and loving dancing, they're the best.

i love that you love girls in any and every way because, frankly, there's not enough of that going around. so many times girls become eachother's enemies much more readily than eachother's biggest supporters, which we should be. GIRL POWER, as cheesey as the term may be, needs to be embraced, i'm so glad you clearly do <3

And hmm, I'm trying to remember some of the outfits I wore... There was the saucy schoolgirl one, a totally tacky red velvet thing held together with laces, that hardly qualified as a 'dress', a long strapless black lycra deal with a lace bodice and a split up to the hip...and assorted bustiers, fancy knickers, bras, negliges, a corset, gloves, and always thigh high stockings. No garter belts, because they were a pain to strip out of. Not to mention the 4-6 inch heels, which raised me to the height of, like, a normal person. Heh.
And yeah, girls can be so evil to other girls. Nothing makes me angrier than seeing women bitch other women out for being to thin/too fat/too blonde/too slutty/too plain - UGH.

And it makes sense, don't worry.
