I'm reading The Greatest Show on Earth by Richard Dawkins (his latest) and it's really, really fascinating. I keep looking up at Trav and saying things like "Did you know whales are related to HIPPOS? AND sea lions are related to ELEPHANTS! Imagine that! Isn't that INTERESTING?" and Trav tries not to look too bored.

The fact that Creation, the recent film about Darwin, hasn't got a release date in the US because it's too ~controversial~ is just crazy.

I have a massive pile of books to tackle before I can read Pterry's latest, but I'm really looking forward to it!

It just really gobsmacked me! I GREW UP knowing this stuff was true, even when I knew next to nothing about it except that dinosaurs existed long ago, long before us. It really upsets me that whole generations of kids are growing up being lied to. Ugh.

In better news, Pterry's book was, of course, magnificent :D
