Never got past the Veldt in FF6!? That game epitomizes the SNES RPG! (Well, maybe not as much as FF5, but that game wasn't released stateside until much later.)

Yah, Tidus was a total dork, but I never felt the urge to rip apart his CG-body the way I did for Laguna. I don't know if he gets any better, as I never finished FF8, but Laguna was irritating from the first time I saw him. (The scene with the piano lady... ARGH.)
Tidus was irritating, but he was fortunate to have better allies as well, both story- and gameplay-wise. I'd rather have Yuna or Auron backing me up than the whole FF8 cast together (or as the case often was, Yuna and Auron were in FRONT of Tidus. *g*)

I ALLLLLLLLLMOST beat FF5, but Jake cleared his harddrive, so I never FINISHED it. o_o;. That should tell you something.

Laguna was a klutz, but he was hot (Oh, joy, I have the reasoning of a freak), so I was just like "Hot... dude... *droolz* @_@" ... And FF8 was just bad in general... and some of the gooey shit in FFX makes me want to kill myself. It's TOO GOOEY!
