The patriotism in your heart is much weaker in the hearts of foreigners who become US citizens. Will it take a war on US soil to reignite the flame of love for this country? Maybe she'll never be loved by her native sons & daughters the way she was loved and adored in the old days (1950's and before). Tears swell in the eyes of the lady who stands guard in NY harbor, the American eagle, and our founding fathers. They'll never understand the lack of love for this great, safe, and prosperous nation.

Anonymous...you are so right about that. But, don't you think there is also a link between the socio-economic background of the young people today that makes a difference? It seems to me the middle-class of America is bearing the brunt of the burden in the military; and we rely on that group to teach traditional values where others could care less. Not to stereotype all groups, but I see the very poor (often in the midst of their peers buying/selling drugs) have no real values. The very rich only care about themselves...not others. What is the answer?
