Last night I happened to come across this article by MightyGodKing. (Take your time and read it; I'll still be here when you get back.) As a longtime DC Comics reader and fan of Wonder Woman, it raised my hackles

I'm trying to recall the WW story where the god of war and the goddess of love are staging a mutiny as they now believe they are the prominent powers and are stronger then Zeus and Hera.

The only version of Wonder Woman I'd seen in comics so far is the one devised by Alex Ross and Mark Waid in the 1996 Kingdom Come, where she was stripped of her Amazonian royal status because the 'sisterhood' thought her peace ambassador mission to be a failure, she was the one who shook Superman out of his ten-year indifference in the "farm" and through the course of the story struggled to define her oath and goals. Other than that I only saw WW in the Dini-verse catroons JL and JLU. How much do you think these versions of comic/TV did the character justice?
(In my humble opinion, the series done by Paul Dini and Alex Ross that includes Superman: Peace On Earth and Batman: The War On Crime [there's also one on Wonder Woman, but I hadn't read it yet and don't know the subtitle] is something to be cherished and deserve to survive even should the rest of DC comics be burnt down)
