Dreams...what?!

I wish I had the gift of not remembering my dreams... my mind would be less clouded if I didn't have to wonder about the messed up stuff I remember. And I don't thing cats forget their routine unless you start another consistent one... I've noticed that about Emily too.

Everyone goes through REM during their sleep, so technically you should be dreaming. It's just a question of remembering them.

There's a good chance you were still in your unconscious when waking up. The sense of not knowing where you are is pretty typical, it probably just weirded you out because you're not used to it.

If you want to remember them more often, you might consider meditating. There are a lot of exercises that increase imaginative potential.

One theory involves the pineal gland, which is basically our imaginative potential. It's apparently bigger when we're children, which is why they're more prone to play, dream more vividly, and not differentiate between reality. I've heard they're huge in buddhist monks, but I don't know if this is true. Might be a physical explanation.

Anywho, if you ever need to talk about weirdness and dreaming, I'd be more than happy to.
