It was indeed a great ep! Really liked that they did put the Sam not looking for Dean subject to bed in such a neat way (though why Luci totally ignored the Ruby subject puzzles me...), and I'm really intrigued about what's going on with Dean. Is he in love with Amara... nah, I don't think so, but there certainly is a very strong draw and whether it's mystical or otherwise I'm really curious to see... though not in the 'I want to see them together' sense *shudders*

Ugh, no, please don't let them get together like that! I like the Amara character AND the actress who plays her, but the idea of Dean and the Darkness actually being an item? Ew. And boring, too. This strange pull/bond is much more interesting, and I hope they stick with it.

I also really want to talk about how the idea of brother-sister creator gods exists all over the world, and how Amara fits in to them :)

I'm very worried about what Luci is going to do now with his new knowledge about Dean and Amara.

I'm really wondering if it has implications for Luci also being tied to Amara since he also had the mark.

As for Dean's vulnerability, this line from ep 9 seems relevant: "Just bliss. That feeling that you have when you’re with me." I'm wondering if this is going to be a sudo demon blood redux, replacing the demon blood with Amara herself. Not to mention she seems to be offering the most appealing afterlife scenario for Dean since he's disenchanted with all the other possibilities. (The one good thing in that ep was him realizing there might be a possibility of actually saving the souls of those Amara had consumed though, so maybe not.) The more I think about it, the more I wonder if she's already leaching off his soul somehow.

And on that note, I'm finally caught up for the first time all season!

Yay for being caught up! And very interesting theory about the Amara bond acts like demon blood did with Sam. We all know Dean longs for the kind of peaceful oblivion Amara seems able to offer. He'd really have to hit rock bottom to actually accept that from her, though. That could lead to some delicious angst. I'm in :)
