I occasionally put watermarks on my pixel art because it's so easy to modify such tiny images, but my general feeling is that watermarks only piss people off MORE and if they're really pissed off they'll go in and try to remove it with PS which might have a detrimental effect on the way the piece looks, so I just put my signature in an unobtrusive place and let people look at the image as it was meant to be seen.

I really really hate the sense of entitlement that seems to come with the scanning community. Everything is MINE MINE MINE MINE. the thing about watermarking raw scans is that the scanners aren't even CREATING something. If you translate, you are creating something. If you draw fanart or doujin, you are creating something. When you scan something? You're not doing any of that. Yes it involves work, and yes I think scanners should credit, but I hardly think they have the right to ruin someone else's artwork which they are, might I remind everyone, effectively stealing anyways. If they're so concerned about making sure the actual artist gets paid then don't scan it at all (I have another huge rant on this. XD it might get ugly ( ... )

Wow, that definitely makes them even more shitty. So by this theory, not only do they want the credit for the things they scan themselves, they want the credit for the things they found somewhere on the internet? Nice.
