So does that mean that he doesn't want this ending? That he wants to confess to Dongwoo? IS THAT WHAT THIS MEANS?
:)
"No." His fingers are deftly unhooking the button on Dongwoo's jeans, wriggling closer, hooking his bare legs under Dongwoo's knees. He's half-hard. He’s. "No. No."
WHERE. *studies text avidly* OMG WAIT THE SUMMARY IS DIFFERENT. *continues to analyze* I do believe that is the only change?
BUT I WANT HOYA TO WIN TT_______TT WHY. WHY CAN'T HE WIN. Because the world sucks ;_______; because his career would end and THERE ARE NO GAY MEN IN KOREA SOB SOB WHEN HE GETS TO CHOOSE HE CHOOSES DONGWOO SO WHY DIDN'T HE CHOOSE HIM. WHY DID HE CHOOSE DELETION. OR WAS IT EVEN HIS CHOICE ARGH MY BRAIN.
This was a really thought provoking experience (as you can tell from my incessant rambling) ;~~~~; even though all your fics are pretty thought provoking, this one is more um interactive? And metatextual (lull I learned a new word this week). It really makes one stop and ponder the mechanics of fanfiction. And life itself. But the latter might just be me because I overthink things a lot.
But I think you've heard enough from me in one week. Really I don't know how you can stand it ㅠ.ㅠ I would've blocked me by now or something
WAIT SO THIS WOULD MAKE ENDING K OF THE WAVEFUNCTION COLLAPSE TOTALLY OBSOLETE.
Maybe he feels he didn't really have a choice? Like he never has a choice? Because he's always being steered by someone else, be it his CEO or fans or society--
OMG WKADHWKJAHEDKLWJHEDOWK WHAT IS MY LIFE WHAT IS HAPPENING. I HAVE OFFICIALLY ANNOYED MY ROOMMATE WITH THE OUTBURSTS THAT THIS EDIT CAUSED ME TO HAVE.
I. I. Hoya ಥ~ಥ
Why. Why do you feel it is so necessary to blow my mind and rip out my heart?
The author seems a lot more malicious this time around. I mean, in the previous edits, she was obviously the antagonist of this story, but I didn't really feel as much hatred towards her as I do now.
"You're supposed to be fun."
I think this really speaks volumes of the general nature of fans. They're really a sort of volatile bunch; easily angered, quick to become bored. Idols walk on eggshells all day long, because if they make one wrong move and the fans decide that they're not of worth their time anymore, their career can end at the drop of a dime, so to speak. It gets to this point where it's more like they're tools than actual people (that "unreal" aspect). Because, after all, fans always have this ulterior motive. The main goal is to be entertained, and if that isn't happening,
( ... )
you were exactly right! hence my reluctance to divulge any of the (few) secrets i have left in a response! not even your typographically represented faces could convince me otherwise!
you've been right quite often, actually. it's why i'm often hesitant to comment on your deductions.
As a matter of fact, everything about how you portrayed the author just screams apathy and self interest.
it does, doesn't it. there are a lot of layers i am trying to explore there, but i'm very glad you appreciate that.
OMG I WAS SO PARANOID I WAS GONNA MISS AN EDIT cuz I went to visit my family. LOVE THEM BUT GOSH lol. Nothing happened between now and 5.2 right?
Except for the caveat that he isn't actually real--just two dimensions of limbs and body and a series of experiences knotted into something vaguely resembling consciousness and discontent.
there was just five, five point two, five point six, and now six. you didn't miss anything! i'm really touched that you were worried, though i hope you enjoyed the time with your family.
thank you; i really enjoyed the rewrite of that line.
Hoya was addressing the author at the end there, right? FUCKYEAH NOW HE GETS TO GO WRITE HIS K ENDING ಥ⌣ಥ YOU GO HOYA, YOU DO IT. SHOULD HAVE PUNCHED HER BUT IT'S OKAY ANYWAY. I'LL IMAGINE HE DID.
Also, I've been pondering the disappearance of the summary and author's notes for like a good while lol. I'm guessing it has some kind of relevant meaning since the fic is supposed to encompass these things. I feel like it's kind of symbolic of the author's loss of control? Or something. Maybe ^^;;
Next is the deletion right? ;_____; I'm sad it's ending, but at least I have the copies ( °٢° )
My love for this is limitless. Here, have a butterfly Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ
you are completely spot on in terms of the author's notes. the author has begun to disappear from the story, because hoya has become more complicit in its telling. hopefully the deletion will make everything clear and act as a suitable coda to this experience!
i really love that butterfly. i have copied it onto a notepad and am currently printing it out, actually. it really made me smile.

never too much thinking. i'm not going to engage with your hypotheses directly just yet, but you've got fabulous insights. it's a treat to read them.
