Because QuarterCon is such a free form sort of gathering, my beauteous and oft-praised
jungle_goddess and I decided a few years ago that the smartest way to organize things was not to organize things. Instead, we're letting everyone know what we'll be doing, and when, and inviting any and all to join us. No harm or foul if you decide to enjoy New Orleans in other ways over the weekend (unless you miss the brunch on Sunday, in which case we'll be crushed!).
Because, you know, it's supposed to be fun! We're on vacation! So here goes, and times are approximate:

And now, we need your help. First, I need head counts for Saturday's Abita Tour and Rock-n-Bowl visit, so we can arrange transportation. A limo or limo bus (depending on the number interested) has turned out to be less expensive than individual cab rides (particularly as far as the ride to and from Abita Springs, on the north shore, is concerned). Ideally, I'd like head counts for these before the end of October. The Abita Tour is free, and the bowling was around $10-15/person, including shoe rental, for a couple of games. For a few dollars more, we could do a party package at the Rock-n-Bowl, depending on how many are interested in going, which includes food and drinks (more money for better drinks). The limo or limo bus would probably be around $30/person. I realize that this is a bit nebulous, but that's why I need head counts!
:-)
Second, I've already asked for a head count for the Sunday brunch, but it's always worth asking again. I'll need to give Dominique's a final count during the first week in November.
Third, if you have any questions about any of the above, or suggestions for other activities, please feel free to let me know. When I typed "First Draft," I meant it!
Only 46 days to
QuarterCon!
