I know the fic you're talking about but 1) Can't remember the name and 2) I'm pretty sure it was from one of the authors that purged their accounts. We've had a few that did that this past year or so.

It's "You Can't Fight Fate" by Kittytn1. I've been searching for it forever. Maybe this info will help someone.
