I've looked in all my memories tags on LJ, AO3 and Delicious and I can't find this fic. All I remember is that Brian and Dom are hiding out with Roman in a trailer. So I'm guessing it takes place in Miami? And at one point Rome's parole officer checks up on him and Dom and Brian have to hide together in a really small space. I believe you're looking for khaleesian's Rewind. The story is immediately after the original movie so Roman is still living in Barstow. Khal hasn't kept her website and it looks like she hasn't hasn't uploaded it to AO3 yet but you can probably find it on her LJ. If not I can always send you a copy.

Both Rome's parole officer and then Tanner show up at Rome's trailer. But Brian and Dom were just hiding out at Rome's, waiting for a chance to make a run for Mexico. The story takes place immediately after Dom's crash at the end of the 1st movie. Good catch with the WayBack Time Machine.
