When the family was on the Isle of Man dad and I had a quick train ride pulled one of his favourite locomotives.
This one came in before ours, and as it was going the other way it came in backwards. The man there is the Station Master who has to work the level crossing manually.

You know, my granddad was one of those who did the level crossing manually too! I spent my early childhood sitting on a wide windowsill in my granny´s flat, watching steam engines. My grandparents lived just above the railway loading station:-)
