Interesting... Ashley had told me the Ferris Wheel had been sold and dismantled. Good to know it's still there and operational.

If you ever wanted to see Brandon Frasier in 3D this is pretty much your only chance (short of stalking him in real life.)
I recommend Samy's Camera on Fairfax for Brendan Frasier sightings, personally. Also good for spotting the wild Drew Carey occasionally, among others.

The wheel was shut down for a while for the restoration (and the installation of the new LEDs). According to the WIKI the original wheel structure was taken down and sold on eBay, but it was replaced by an almost identical wheel. It seemed like the same wheel to me, but it sounds like Ashley heard right.
