I'm in hot water!

The new behemoth is in place. It burbles gently as it generates loads of fluffy new hot water for us. We yanked out the water softener too. At first it seemed like all this would greatly improve our water pressure, but so far it's just a little better than it was ( Read more... )

Hooooray for hot water!!

Long story but I went without running water for 7-8 months and just got it back on so yipppeeee

and send some storm up here please I've never watered my yard and have no intention of starting now but my morning glories are going to need a drink soon if it doesn't rain

So, the garage "extension" is going away? I knew you'd mentioned it at times, but I'd also wondered if you were going to try and repair it. If not, then yay parking!

It leaks and the roof is collapsing. If we wanted to keep it we would need to do major surgery. Instead I'm thinking we'd rather cut it off. When we convert the garage proper into another room we'll do glass brick over the two garage doors. That will bring in lots of light, and give room for three cars to park in front of the house.

We've already gotten a quote for doing the demolition. Now we just need to get the guy to call back and agree on a date. It's always something!
