The Washing of the Water

The rain attempted to wash our whole family off of the road. It poured copious amounts of liquid onto the windshield such that I simply could not see at all. It obscured the road lines even when I could see out the window, and it placed puddles across the road in such a way as to tug at my wheels and try and pry me loose from my steady course ( Read more... )

What did you think of Set this House in Order? A tad more serious than Fool on the Hill and Sewer, Gas & Electric...

It's easily his best work to date. He did research, and he had a very clear plot. While I love his asides and silliness, it was nice to see him handle more serious material with his typical wit.

You should check out his website... he does extensive research on all his novels, and often ends up posting bits of said research there. http://home.att.net/~storytellers/ (he doesn't post to his LJ often enough, but he's worth friending for updates on book tours & such, as well as occasional "gee life is dismal in Seattle, I love it" type quotes)
