I am actually incredibly superficial in many aspects - makeup, clothing, overall presentation - and half the time I hate it, because there are so many other things in life. The other half of the time I'm pleased with myself for not being bound by popular opinion of what an academic girl should care about.

i've been on LJ for just over two years now and in that time,whenever i get upset and stressed you have always been the one person who responds and comments and whenever i start thinking i'm just spewing stuff out there and no one cares, you're the one that lets me know that somebody IS listening. i can't stress enough the importance of that, of knowing somebody is paying attention

my confession i guess would be that i feel terrible because i don't think i reciprocate, and you deserve every bit as much attention and a listening ear. so i'm sorry that i don't think i've provided that like a true friend should

I pretty much agree on all points. you're one of the first or only people to reply on a number of my posts, and it means a lot, even if I don't reply saying so, or if I fail to reciprocate on your lj.
