[ The newest video uploaded on to the network is of Tony Stark's grinning face. He looks tired, sunken in, but there's nothing that could possibly hide that inventors glint. Whatever magic Rhodey weaved before must have worked, because he's spent the last three days awake and surrounded by wiring. He's never been so pleased to have dark circles

[ Steve is busy cooking dinner in the kitchen that he doubts will get touched when the familiar and comforting sound of JARVIS's voice carries around the apartment. He puts the casserole into the oven in a bit of a rush and goes out to see what's happening.
It's been so long since he last saw Tony this way, possessed with his genius and so alive with it, the excitement of a child hanging around him. He worries, of course he does, but this time he doesn't have the heart to even attempt to pull him out of it, does his best to see he eats something, even if he still doesn't know what he's been working on. Until now. ]
You got JARVIS back? [ Amazed. ] How'd you do it? Thought you couldn't afford the equipment.

[ He runs a hand through his hair, then the other for good measure, and strands of it are sticking up, making him look more and more like the typical crazy scientist people would believe him to be. ] But I rewired the house, he's pretty much half heating - half voice right now, all stuck into this. [ Tapping the laptop. ] I mean, the quality is just awful and JARVIS isn't going to like how slow he's going to be running, but at least this is a start, right?
We must learn to walk before we can run.
Thanks for that, JARVIS. Your words of wisdom have been missed.

[ There's a hint of amusement there, and he dares to step closer to the area of chaos, reaches out and strokes down Tony's hair, which seems to refuse to return to its usual state. ]
Glad to have you back, JARVIS, could do with the company. [ He looks at where there's still wires everywhere. ] This is safe, though, right? No one's gonna get a shock or anything when they switch on the toaster or something?

Okay, can you two stop flirting now? [ Tony's enthusiasm is bubbling up inside him, nudging up into Steve's palm. ] I let Ella sleep on our bed for the time being, seemed safer, I'll get all this cleared away before she wakes up. We'll only be able to hear him in here or through the armour, and we're going to have to keep the laptop wired up and on, but I'll get there. I have some meetings set up for later this week. Who knows? We might get lucky.

It's good to see you again, sir. It's been a long time.
Yeah, don't be going and giving him the guided tour of all the crap we've been up to, that would be boring.
