The wide metal doors of XIII Corp opened with a soft swish into a spacious, sparsely decorated lobby area. Okay, so, uh, the first thing you have to keep in mind is that I'm, uh, not very good at those long analyzing comments that you've got from other people. .___.;; So you get bullet points of my thoughts while reading instead.

-Don't piss off the cannibal: good advice.

I just have to say that last line is pure gold. XD
Again, I am utterly blown away by this story, this chapter being a beautiful exploration into Riku's character developement. Can't wait to see how Axel's interaction with the two progresses (if they get to hang out again! XD my brain saw way too many possibilities there) and...oh hell, I love your Braig. Unhealthily so. <3

Isn't it? I KNOW she worries about there being 'development', but good lord, She's done something totally brilliant by MAKING it a weird sort of non-recognized development.

She's effectively refrained from actually developing Riku...and yet enhanced his capacty for evil.

Oooooh, yes. The complete lack of emotion (Or is it? He "loves" his masters...) makes for the proliferation of evil in it's purest form: the inability to recognise one's acts as such.
I could expound forever on societal definitions of good and evil and how emotional and psychological cues dictate the subjectivity of such notions. XD
But yes, the development is still there and considering Riku pretty much started off as a clean slate, and also his desire to both learn about the environment he's in and to please his masters, all conspire to give him more of a personality and make him a more solid character with his own thought processes.
I'm very intrigued to see where this story goes.

*squeal* Are you a Psych major? An English Major? Good Lord, I LOVE you bringing the tabula rasa into this.

I LOVE the 18th century and I particularly love the idea of Tabula Rasa. Riku is TOTALLY a blank slate and holy GOD...yes.

um. Yes. Wow..I'm speechless for a bit. That is such an amazing though I need to dwell on this for a bit.

I'm very curious about what Axel is going to do (besides scheme). He didn't seem too interested in the replicas... but in a way he was...

Ohmygoooosh. The last line made me laugh/"ugh"/die. And I keep getting funny looks from my brother.

@.@ Is it bad that I'm torn between praying for my dearest Even's life and hoping he gets a really sick death? DX Isn't it weird how we love to be mean to our favorites?

My reactions to this story must be... interesting to watch. At times (with Riku and Namine) I'm cooing over how cute it is. At times I'm spasming with delight because my baby Even is having so much fuuuunnnn. X3 In a sense. And sometimes I'm cracking up, or going "UGH!" and then squirming because I love pain. :3

How fun! Love it so much! Can't wait for mooooore!

Thank you so much for reading and leaving such a lovely comment. XD It's also fun to hear from an Even-lover, since I don't think that I write him in a particularly flattering way, even though I think he's awesome.

Hmm, it's not how you write him, it's only how the others talk about him that isn't so flattering. *purrs*

And I just went back and read the whole story again and I'm sort of caught between a) Even getting eaten by Braig and Riku and b) Even getting, I dunno, slaughtered somehow by a horde of Riku clones. XD
