Censorship of Chinese BL & thoughts on Guardian (2018)

I don’t know if it’s a recent thing but there seems to be more Chinese BL nowadays or maybe they are gaining prominence due to animated/live action adaptations. LGBT media isn’t legally allowed in China so what these production companies have done to avoid the censorship axe or getting banned is to water down the relationship to a bromance, playing ( Read more... )

Hi, having read part of the novel in English (you can find it on wattpad), I can confirm that it is much better than the drama. The scenario of the drama did not always convinced me, it is thanks to the two main actors that I found the will to see the forty episodes. Moreover, I saw the videos of some interviews and even a program in which they both participated, and I love the friendship that developed between them! <3

Hi! I will be checking out the novel soon and it’s great that there are English translations.
Yeah, I’ve watched some of their interviews and they’ve a lot of chemistry as friends too :)

Hi! Yeah, currently there are 69 chapters of translated (The novel has 106 chapter + 4 bonus chapters) and every ten days or so, a new chapter is published.
If you have the time, read also the comments, some are really hilarious. ;)
