More Drabbles

Feb 16, 2010 00:03

Back when I posted this meme, pheobep and unoriginal_liz gave me some great prompts. Even though I still have more prompts to go, these are the are the last of the 100 word drabbles I'm going to write. Apparently, my writing skills have failed me, because I just couldn't get the others to work. So, for the rest of your prompts, you guys are just going to have to ( Read more... )

fic - lwd, fic - doctor who, fic - everything else, fic - drabble, fic - sports night, fic - 100 word drabble, fic - non-west wing

Yay for the little drabbles! You are so good at this! I think it must be a little like writing poetry (something else I just never got the hang of).
You did an excellent job of capturing a little moment filled with emotion and reflection that tells a great deal about the characters.

Thank you! That's very sweet of you to say! You're right about the 100 word drabbles are a little bit like writing poetry for me (something I haven't done since I was forced to in high school. I guess I'm more of a prose person.) I'm glad you enjoyed them!

Oh, that's interesting. I do like Dan/Natalie stories, and this one comes from such a different angle. It's great! :-)

Thank, Flip! I'm so glad you liked it. Dan/Natalie has definitely become my favorite ship on Sports Night, so expect me to revisit them in the future. :-)

Oh, yay!

It's a nice, gentle, subtle ship. I do wonder if Sorkin had thought to maybe go there, eventually, if the show had continued. I don't know about an OTP, though maybe, but even if not, I think it could have been a lovely interlude for them.

I don't know if Sorkin would have gone there, though it would be nice to think that he would. Natalie/Jeremy really did seem to be the OTP, but they lost me around the time of the second break-up. (I don't do off-again/on-again very well.) I was looking for a ship and Dan/Natalie seems to fit the bill for me. :-)

Ha - Natalie is Doug Flutie - I love it

Well, you were the one that gave me such a great prompt! ;-D

What I admire about Martha is exactly what you outline here - that she's sensible, and she values herself too highly to stay in a situation that isn't good for her.

Yeah, I'm a little like the Doctor in that I didn't appreciate her in the beginning. But by the end, I had to give her credit for being strong enough to follow her own path.

Derek wanting Casey to be jealous - I can so see this

Heh. Thanks. For some reason, I see Derek as the one that more aware of his feelings and therefore the one that suffers more. Poor boy. (Though he does kind of deserve it!)

You wrote the Dan/Nat story! (And I knew who Flutie was. He was a Bear for a year or so. And like most players for the Bears/Cubs. He didn't play well here and left and had some great seasons.)

Heh. I wrote a Dan/Natalie drabble. The Dan/Nat fic is still on the way. ;-)

Yeah, Flutie was someone who seemed to have a better career the older that he got. He seems to be the sort of player that the crew from Sports Night would all be talking about.
