I loved it Quaggy. You manage to surprise me so often when I read your fics. You tweak it just enough so that it's different from what you'd expect when you start reading, but seems so right after you are done reading.
Excellent Quaggy. I always like Future-Fics where J&D are both parents and still adults, and I like the idea that Josh is writing a book and supporting Donna, I alwasys figured that would happen.
Thanks Art!! I really can't see either of them being anything other than responsible parents. The fics were Josh is just another big kid or a neglectful parent just doesn't ring true to me. Josh and Donna have always worked best as a team. I think the whole marriage and child rearing thing will come a lot easier than either of them are expecting!
Just looking through the Bubbleficathon and wanted to say how much I *loved* this. I have a major weakness for Josh and Donna with kids and this definitely hit the spot. I really enjoyed the reversal of expectations in the first paragraph where it seems as if it's Josh coming home (and as I think that Josh will leave the White House before Donna does that really hit the spot too).
“Josh Lyman, admitting he’s bad at something?”
“Don’t mock. I get it enough from Toby. He claims he can french braid!”
Bwahaha... I love that. Thanks for the gorgeous look at Josh and Donna's future.
Thank you for your kind words! I'm so pleased everything rang true. I couldn't resist the first paragraph when I started realizing the paralells between where Josh was as COS and where Donna would be as Director of Legislative Affairs.
And to truly appreciate the line about Toby, you have to have the mental image of him braiding Molly's hair. The thought never fails to make me giggle!
Nice. Liked it right off the bat with the slight twist of it not being Josh. Its super cute and wrote them well. Liked it being a future and kid-ish fic without it being "kidfic" kidfic, if that makes any sense at all. It doesn't. I'll stop.
Thank you so much! Yeah, Nora is more representative of everything that Donna misses rather than a central chracater. (Though she does manage to assert her personality in the little time I let her have!) I think this is less a kid fic, than a parent fic! If THAT makes any sense whatsoever!!
