So I'm really depressed and disappointed by how Question 1 in Maine turned out last night.  (For those of you who don't know, voters there by a slim majority revoked same-sex marriage rights that were passed in the state legislature earlier this year.  I'm not linking to an article -- you can find one online somewhere.)  It's extremely frustrating

I have to agree with your comment about yesterday as Democrat referendum. It's STILL TOO FRIGGIN EARLY for real solid Obama "backlash" IMHO. I got sick of CNN trotting that angle out even as analysts kept saying that no such activity was taking place right now.

Minnesota is very kind to GLBT persons, but feel like showdowns like this are inevitable, and it will be ugly, but perhaps it is what needs to be done.

To answer the meme-question: You are younger than I thought you were initially. (Just an observation, not an accusation of anything.)
