I am thankful for the fact that I exist in the midst of a golden age and how I am poor, still without a finished university education and well below the poverty line, and yet I have a quality of life that the working class of others elsewhere could only dream of; the fact I live in paradise helps as well.

Of course, it helps when you've seen and walked through what poverty looks like in your arid-coloured cinder block and rebar world.

I'm also thankful in knowing that even those less fortuneate are coureagous enough to still be happy and be thankful for what they have.
