i read an article in the paper about it, and it was directed by the guy who did rush hour and family man. and while those were entertaining movies, xmen just wasn't his style i dont think. and he ruined it... the stuff that happens is rediculous. there are no characters, the plot is confusing and is only understandable if you've seen the other movies or have a background knowlege of xmen, and the action scenes are rediculous, corny, and boring. especially the war scene at the end.
I would agree with all of your statements, I don't think it was a good movie. They did do some interesting things in it though, which in this day and age for a movie like that to do something interesting is...well worth something I guess. The lack of characters was probably the worst, it left a gaping hole in the movie.
